our philosophy
CHILDREN
We believe that children learn through purposeful play that reflect their interests, culture, life experiences and needs. We acknowledge that children bring a wealth of knowledge with them to preschool and aim to reflect this in our program.
FAMILIES
We acknowledge that families are children's first and most influential teachers. We aim to to build partnerships through shared relationships, honest communication and by educators and families working together to create a supportive, welcoming community.
COMMUNITY
We acknowledge that we are a community within a wider community, Schools, community groups and organisations create opportunities for us to develop networks and links which can enrich our program and experiences for children.
inclusion
We believe that people are individuals and this is a quality to be treasured. We value encouraging others to embrace diversity, acknowledging the many different ways of being. We invite children, families, educators and the wider community to share aspects of their culture to help develop our understanding of the world, and the many different people in it.
EDUCATORS
We believe in valuing the wealth of knowledge and experience each individual educator brings to our preschool. We recognise that learning is a life long process, and we strive to continue our own education through professional development and relevant early childhood education.
sustainability
We acknowledge that we have a responsibility to role model appropriate sustainable practices and encourage the next generation of global caretakers. Environmental initiatives are embedded in our program and daily practices, inspiring child, family, educator and community involvement.
